Outside and In Between Gallery
Producer & Curator
Outside & In Between Monograph by Chloe Aftel is an exploration of the Gender Non-Binary community all over America. The work is a living document, photographing people in places that feel like home to each of them as their most honest, real, true selves. This collection is the first comprehensive body of work on the Gender Non-Binary community.
With the pop-up gallery we brought the book to life with a curation of 20 photos (out of 120+ images) in 2ftx3ft mounted prints telling a range of stories from the community. The event featured an interview with artist Chloe Aftel, and words from the activist Jacob Tobia, who was featured in the collection. On a peronal note, this is the first project I have done that highlights non-binary identities and was a really special experience getting to learn about my own community in such an intimate and creative way.
Responsibilities included talent negotiations, art curation, event management, and print production.
